Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo Cerasuolo is delightful cherry red rosé made from Montepulciano grapes. This is a pleasant fruity rosé. Drink this Italian wine at 10-12°C (50-53.6°F). The best Abruzzi reds originate from the Colli Teramane hills. In addition to the mandatory Montepulciano the makers are permitted to 10% Sangiovese. These wines are fuller and more robust than the ordinary Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo, especially the fine Riservas, which must be at least three years old and contain no less than 12.5% alcohol. You can drink this Italian wine at 14-16°C (57.2-60.8°F) but 16-17°C (60.8-62.6°F) for Riserva Italian wines.
